Hello mission friends
10/14/2009
I pray that all is well with each one of you and God continues
to bless each of you. There is a lot to tell you and a lot I don't know yet.
First let me apologize for several things, we are very late
getting started this year and have been waiting for more info to give you.
We just found out a couple of days ago the exact location of our trip which
is different than the area that we were first told. The name of the village
is Bethel, (pronounced "Batlel"), in the state of Chiapas, Mexico. We still
don't have confirmation on our tickets or the price because we just found
out that we will fly to a different airport. As far as I know the main group
will fly out of JFK airport to Mexico City then another flight to Tuxtla
Gutierrez and then bus to our location. It should be near the Sierra Madre
Mountain range. The dates should be Feb 16th to March 3rd. I will confirm
dates and times as soon as we hear from the airlines.
As far as the excursion, I had originally planned to go to
Cancun but now we are farther away. Eric is checking on tickets and hotel
prices. Again I will confirm as soon as possible. Second, I want to
apologize to all the faithful people who have been donating to Berkshire
Mission for all our Bibles, Meds, Bible workers etc. I usually take time to
thank each one of you personally. This year I did not get to do this. I want
to thank you all, for all you do for Berkshire Mission. We could never do
what we do without your help. So now, I want to ask each one of you if you
would help again. We are about a month behind already but I really need all
of you to support this trip. We will be building a church in the small town
of Bethel. We will complete the church, all the steel, the roof, walls
windows, doors, sidewalks, etc. I would also like to put up a gated wall for
security in front of the church as we have done before. We will visit
different communities in the area to provide some medical and dental work
and provide eyeglasses for them. I would like to hire the same Bible workers
that worked for us in Guatemala for two months to have Bible studies and
prepare them for our evangelism effort. Of course we will have a children's
program for the young people. They have baptized over 30 people from our
visit to Guatemala including 7 young people who went to our VBS.
So, as you can see I need some help! All of your donations are
tax deductible. I hope that you will pray and ask God what He would have you
do for Berkshire Mission this year.
I'm sorry I don't have all the details yet, like price and exact
times etc. But I will be making a pretrip very soon so I can get all the
details.
Those of you who have not signed up yet, please do so now. This
trip, as in the past, will be full of exciting adventure and a blessing for
those we visit and even more important a blessing to us to serve.
Please, again I ask that your donations for Bibles, Medicine,
Literature, Bible Workers, misc trip expenses etc., be sent as soon as
possible. If you need to make a pledge and pay over time, that's fine.
Those of you traveling with us, please get your deposit of
$250.00 into us right away. Remember, as Eric mentioned in the last email,
if you decide to back out once I have all the details, we will return your
deposit. Please email us at mail at berkshiremission.org or call me direct at
413-743-4921 or my cell at 413-446-2214.
I have noticed this past couple of weeks that there are many of
you who are not receiving the emails. Please make sure you are on the
mailing list. If you did not receive the last email that Eric sent out a
couple of weeks ago, please check your junk email folder and add our email
address to your contacts list. Sometimes when email is sent out in quantity,
your email program may sort it as spam or junk mail. Also go to
www.berkshiremission.org and click on
the link on the front page for email to be sent to you. I really want to cut
down on the postage. So, unless you let me know that you don't get email, I
will not be sending a mass mailing again. Let me know and I will mail things
to you.
God bless each one of you. We still need lots of workers, lots of prayers
and lots of donations.
Sincerely
Bob Young
Mission Director
Ps. more email very soon

Hello Berkshire Mission Friends
Attached is a picture of the church that we will be replacing in Bethel
Mexico. The other file that is attached is a google earth file so you can
see on a map where the building site will be located. You can zoom in and
out to get a better idea where in Mexico we will be.
Eric
P.s. just a reminder to those who have not sent their applications back, I
need them asap to work on airfare.. Thanks
