Feb 16th 2010 MISSION 2010 MEXICO 1 DAY CHURCH PLUS AND MORE!!
Hello Berkshire Mission Friends Nov 26th
2009
Just need you to know a few important things coming up soon. Happy
Holidays to all. First, since my arrival home and the last email I wrote,
our group has grown from 28 to 49. It must have a lot to do with our housing
and our excursion to Cancun! Well, that was my first thought, and then I
thought it was my ability to write!!! Oh well.
Things are going fairly well. Eric is having a hard time with some
last minute tickets and trying to keep the price down for those of you not
going with the main group out of JFK. Trying to get us all to Tuxtla, Mexico
at the same time or within several hours is a nightmare. Eric is working
very hard at this moment. Some will have to arrive in Mexico City a night
earlier and stay overnight. It is only 7 or 8 and you know who you are
already.
Second, our pre mission meeting will be Saturday; Dec.12 at 5:30pm
sharp. There are so many issues to discuss that I can't cover them all here.
I need to speak to you about travel, housing, food, and medical sites. I
know you might think these meetings are not important, but they provide a
lot of info, team spirit, a time to meet new people, etc., etc. Please come
and support me. I do realize we are all very busy, and some live a little
ways away, but I need you all that are within driving distance to come.
Third. All of your deposits should be in. For those who like a
schedule please follow this: $250.00 deposit should already be turned in.
Nov 30th $250.00 Total of $500.00
Dec 15th $250.00 Total of $750.00
Dec 30th $250.00 Total of 1000.00
Jan 15th $250.00 Total of 1250.00
Jan 30th $350.00 Total of 1600.00
Remember, those of you not traveling with the main group from Berkshire
Hills Church, your expenses might be more. If you can't meet these dates
with your payments please get in touch with me and we will work it out.
Fourth, please make sure your passport is current. Sometimes they
require at least 6 months before expiration date. Also, check with your
local travel clinic to make sure your shots etc. are up to date. More about
that at the meeting!
Last, but not least, for this email is our fund raising. I think I
have finished the budget. We will need to raise $26,500.00 I am sorry for
having to mention this always but I believe there are a lot of you who can
help. The donations have been coming in very slow. I also know times are
tough and holidays are coming. But, God already knows about turkeys,
Christmas gifts, birthdays and every thing else. He also promised to provide
no matter. You know our needs and you know yours. Please pray about your
giving.
See you soon. God Bless you all.
