I can't wait to see how God is about to use us, all of us, those who travel, those who support us with your donations and prayers are about to be blessed again. I need each and every one of you. We need medicine, Bibles, literature, v.b.s. supplies, small Steps to Christ books, money to buy shoes and some cloths for the orphanage. Our needs our great but our God is Greater. I always ask that each one of you pray to see what God would have you do. Ok so here is a little news. Eric and I will leave Nov 14th for our pretrip so that we can try to tie up some loose ends. The dates have been set with the airlines. We will meet at the Church at 5pm on Feb 10th. We will get our tickets check our bags and go over last minute details and have some good food before we board the bus to JFK airport. Our flight leaves at 1:55am and arrives in Flores Guatemala at 7:55am on Feb 11th. We will leave Flores on Feb26th at 6:50pm and arrive at JFK at 2:00am on Feb 27th. We should arrive back at the church about 6:30am. Those of you that have signed up need to turn in your 250 deposit now. Eric will email or mail your application if you do not have one. If you already have a application please send it back ASAP. Again the price of $1300.00 is only an estimate. I will set the exact price as soon as I return. Those of you not traveling with the main group from Berkshire Hills the price WILL be different so plan on a larger budget. I pray that all of you are praying or will pray for the mission trip. Some of you have never been on a mission trip and would like to go. Please write me r call me ASAP. I need many of you to donate money to help buy the things I told you about. There is no other way to get it but to ask for it. You will never regret giving to Gods work. You will receive a tax receipt for all of your gifts. Several other needs I have. I need a another Dentist, people who speak Spanish and Vacation Bible School Helpers Ok our pretrip meeting will be Dec 6th at 5pm. I would like everybody that can to be there. I will have lots to share including pictures, job assignments and any info that has changed. If you want bring a friend or family member. Remember to turn your applications in to Eric right away. Ticketing will begin at the end of November. The airlines are having us ticket a few months in advance this year so if you are waiting to sign up for this trip now is the time to decide. I just want to remind you that if you are planning on going in Feb that you need to turn in your application and deposit before the end of Nov. Tickets will be issued in Dec. I have reserved tickets for the group but I cannot hold them past the first week in Dec. After that I cannot guarantee the airline price or even that a seat will be available for you. I know that the aircraft is almost full on one flight. So please send me your application right away. Please pray for my father and I as we travel to Guatemala Friday morning for our pre trip. We will have lots of picture and all the info for our trip at our pre trip meeting on Dec 6th. Please plan to attend as we have a lot to go over. We are planning an exciting new evangelism approach and we will have different arrangements for our return flights that I need to go over with you. Nov 29th 2008 We are back from Machaquila, Guatemala. Our trip was very interesting and productive. God continues to bless as we make plans to go forward. The project at Gods Helping Hands is very much under way. There are several workers there now putting up walls, bond beams etc. There will be plenty for us to do. Something very interesting happened when Eric and I arrived. Word spread about our arrival. The guard said that many people had already lined up for medical and dental care. They were very disappointed when the guard told them they had to wait till Feb. I can only share a few things with you now. I want to encourage everyone to be at the Dec 6th meeting. 5 pm we will start our meeting. There will be food and lots of info to share. Guatemala is completely different then any other country we have visited. You will love it. First there is not a lot of places to exchange money. I brought back some Quetzals to exchange for you. The rate is 7.5 Quetzals to 1 US Dollar. Bring some cash with you to the meeting. Everyone has to get there money in. Some have given a deposit of 250.00. The total of the trip is 1380.00, for those traveling from the Berkshire Hills Church. Those flying out of different parts of the Country will cost more. Eric has already purchased those tickets and knows how much extra you will need. I would ask that everyone have at least $1000.00 by the end of next week. 200.00 more by the end of Dec and the balance by the 3rd week of JAN As far as shots for the trip I would check with your local travel clinic and your Doctor. I would recommend Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B and Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis (TDAP) is mandatory. All applications should be in NOW. If you did not get receive one please get in touch with me right away. We have some neat things to share with you at the meeting. Some great pictures of the work sites, Myan village, Tikal, flowers, monkeys, and much more. One of the things that I am worried about is the small amount of donations I have received. I can only pray that you would help and sponsor Bibles, Med pacs, literature, medicine and the general fund to make this happen. I have hired 2 Bible workers to help prepare the area for our arrival. They are good at what they do; they will start Jan 1 and work till we are done. They charge 200.00 per month per worker. You all have been so responsible in the past.
